Oil on canvas. 48'' x 56''

Began by brushing a white mix along the horizon, with a little gray and violet, plus a little of my own sky-blue mix. Then graded the white mixture with more gray-violets and then more with deeper blues. There was alot of linseed oil to make the paint goopy enough to blend. Reminds me of colorful yogurt. The sky and space colors where done over three times, with lots of blending... my arm and hands were really hurting. Then before the paint fully dried i brushed in the moon. Using the same white mixture, i added some more gray violet, unlike the first addition, and put in the far distant mountains. I had separate piles of paint for the forest ground receding into the distance. Then i used alot of paint thinner and blotched in green for the fore ground to cover up all the white of the canvas. I used the same size brush for all the colorful trees, all the little color spots on the closer mountain range and the trees down in front.

Do you know how awesome you are?
Because i really don't think you do...
Amazing job!

Is there any chance that you may sell prints in the future? Be it with deviantArt or on your own...I would love to have some of your work hanging in my home.

Heya, thank you - thank you. =) Most of the deviations here have prints available, they say Print Available, if i'm not mistaken. I have a collection of prints in a local gallery.
I like how you blend a dark space scene with a bright autumn day. I think it'd be hard but you pull it off so well. And the vividness of the trees really compliment the deep blues. Nice blend of colors :)
I'm soooo envious, I can't paint hardly only draw. You're pieces are very inspirational btw.

Oh! fantastic! With the new DA, I guess I missed that button.

Once I start my job and get myself some plastic money, I'm going to buy one of your prints. Now I just have the task of picking which one! D:
